Linda's Caramels

1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup butter
1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
pinch of salt

In heavy saucepan stir constantly with a wooden spoon to just barely beyond soft ball stage on a candy thermometer. Pour into 9 x 13 pan. Cool. Cut and wrap in wax paper.
